Race Day

 Race Day Registration

Registration and setup will be open from 6:30-7:45am for racers to pick up race packets and shirts.  We will then promptly start the race at 8:00am!

There will only be one type of race this year, but three different was to run the race. You can run the race solo, as a two person team or a two to three person relay.

Solo, all by myself!

Two person teams run together, pedal together(on separate bikes)and paddle together in a tandem kayak or canoe.

Relay Teams can have two to three people, they take turns running, pedaling and paddling to complete the race!


Race day Rules:

Have FUN!!!!  This is our first year putting on the Kayathlon, so yes, some things might not go as smoothly as other races you have participated in previously.  Make sure we can see your race numbers on the FRONT of your body, not the side or the back, but on the FRONT of you.  Obey all traffic laws pertaining to the proper event, we are running and cycling on county roads so watch out for, and be courteous to all vehicles, farm equipment, and livestock.  Proper shoes should be worn while running, adequate helmets will be required while cycling, and most important, the proper life jackets must be worn during the kayaking event!  Please drink enough water and have proper nutrition for the day of the race, and again HAVE FUN!!!


Race times will be provided by Vector Timing  http://vectortiming.com/ so all racers can see their times for each event during the race.


Please review the course maps on the "course maps" page on the website.  There will be adequate signage and volunteers to point you in the right direction from start to finish.

Aid Stations:

Aid stations will be along each route to provide water and support to the racers.


Parking will be available in the parking lot area when you arrive at .  Look for the Paddle Dash Kayathlon.

Start/Finish Line:

There will be one start time and one finish time located in the same area.

Staging of gear:

Staging will need to take place befor each race.  We will have adequate stands for all bikes and the kayaks will need to be set up on the beach with all your proper gear!

Raffle Prizes:

We have been lucky enough to get some local companies to donate some great raffle prizes so stick around after the race for some sweet prizes!
